WTL is a very busy Youth Ministry.  Here are some of our general things that we do.

WTL
(August – May) Sundays 4:30-6:30pm/Lockridge Chapel
The Way, the Truth, the Life is a time of gathering for snacks, competitions, team building, Biblical messages, speakers, skits, video clips, prayer, and testimony, along with praise and worship led by our youth praise team, “The Way.” Together, we will learn what it means to live a life in the way and truth of the teachings of Jesus Christ.

SMALL GROUPS
Mostly Wednesday nights 7:15-8:15pm/Also various days throughout the week
High School and Middle School small groups meet weekly for prayer, Bible study, fellowship and accountability. Small groups are a great way to meet caring Christians and develop strong spiritual bonds.

CONFIRMATION
(Sept. 12 – Mar. 20) Sundays at 10:45am/Lockridge Chapel
Confirmation is offered for all youth 7th grade and older. This process helps them learn the basics of the Christian faith, what it means to be United Methodist, and helps them prepare to make a decision on claiming the name of being Christian and a United Methodist for themselves. Confirmation gives youth the opportunity to make their faith their own, not just the faith of their parents or guardians.

YOUTH RETREATS
WTL takes several retreats a year. In October we head to Savannah and St. Simons Island for our Confirmation Retreat. In November we join with Duluth UMC for our annual Fall Retreat. This January we will be having a brand new Winter Retreat. A Junior-Senior Only Ski Retreat will occur in February, and our annual Summer Retreat will take place in June. These are weekends to relax in Christian fellowship, worship our Creator, and find ways to grow closer to each other and to our Savior.

YOUTH MISSIONS
Various trips are taken to locations local, national and international to participate in the work of God and serve our neighbors while serving God. During the 2010-2011 school year we are planning day trips to work with the Clarkston refugees, a Spring Break trip to the Dominican Republic, a week with the Clarkston Summer Spectacular, and a week
long national trip during July. Please see the Youth Mission Guidelines in the Youth Handbook for more information.

ACTIVITIES
We are a very busy youth group. In addition to the above offerings we have many other activities during the year, including 11am Sunday school for high scool and middle school, Christmas parties, lock-ins, sporting events, camping trips and more. We try and get together as a group at least once a month in a setting outside of the church and our weekly WTL worship gatherings.

KIDZ KLUB MENTORS
Wednesdays 6-7pm/Room 317 Kidz Klub (Kindergarten – 6th grade)!
This fall we will go “Backstage with the Bible” with the Go Fish Guys! The different areas of this rotational modeled program will be led by our youth (with adult supervision).
